Winn-Dixie

Opal and Miss Franny talked about Opals mom and how she missed her. Then opal and miss Franny planted a tree opal asked what kinda tree it was and it was a mistery and that Opal would have to wait and see what kinda tree it was. Opal asked if she could come back tomarrow and see the tree and miss Franny said yes i think this is a good book.

Winn-Dixie

Winn Dixie had bald spots that fur was growing back and his coat was shiny so opal went to the pet store to get him a new leash but she did not have any money. So she asked the man if she could work off the collar and leash but the parrot did not like dog sow the shop owner said that if the parrot liked Winn Dixie then she could have the job. So Opal went and got Winn Dixie and the parrot flew and landed on the dogs head and he said that she had the job. So then Opal walked out the door and standing there was Sweetie Pie Thomas she said that she had seen the the parrot on that dogs head and at Church the same dog caught a mouse. Then Opal was riding down the street with Winn Dixie right be side her then the Dunlap and Stevie got on the bikes and started talking really quietly be hind here. Then Winn Dixie ran a head of Opal and headed for the Witches house Opal called for Winn Dixie but she did not cum. So Opal went over the fence and went around a big tree and there was an old lady with Winn Dixie she asked if she wanted a butternut and jelly she opal said yes sow she said to go set down and Opal said that she had no mom i think that this is a good story.

Winn-Dixie

Opal spent a lot of time at the library but Winn Dixie didn't like it because he could not go in. He could look through a window and see her. The lady that ran the library was small and old. Her name was Miss Franny Block. She said that it was a long time ago when her dad built the library for her birthday. Her dad was very rich so that's what she got for her birthday. The miss franny said that once she had an encounter with a bear in her library. She scared it off by hitting the bear with a book. She has not seen the bear since. Chapters five and six were very funny and I enjoyed reading them .

Winn-Dixie

Opal and Winn Dixie where sitting on the couch. Then opal asked about her mom and the preacher said that she liked to laugh, had red hair, and she liked to plant things.She could run fast but couldn't cook ; she could not even open cans and she loved Opal very much. The next morning they went to church but Winn Dixie was out side and did not like being alone. So he howled and howled till the preacher said" Go get that dog!"There was a mouse that ran across the floor and Winn Dixie chased it and caught it. The preacher tossed the mouse out of the church.

Winn-Dixie

There was a girl named India Opal. She was sent to the store to get macaroni and cheese. When she got there the manager was waving his arms around and was yelling" Who let that dog in!" Then the dog came around the corner and stopped right in front of India and smiled at her then the dog ran and accidentally pushed the manager down. Then opal yelled that she let the dog in.The manager looked at opal and said that she should know better to not bring a dog in a store. Then India and took Winn Dixie home to show here dad the dog when thay got there India said you should stay right here and so he did and then India called Winn Dixie in to the house and he said that he could stay and so she gave him a bath and then she brushed his fur and then took him to see dad and he sed that he smells good.

Flowers for algernot

Charlie is a mentally retarded adult that gets chosen to get a brain operation. Before the operation, Dr.Strauss has him try to go through a maze but it is too hard for Charlie. Then Dr. Strauss goes and gets a mouse named Algernon who went through the maze very fast. Charlie decides to go ahead and have the operation. After the operation he tries the maze again and he gets it! After a few months however, Algernon gets weak and dies! Charlie, who was happy before becomes smart but says his head is bigger now than his heart. It turns out that he is going to die, just like Algernon. Then he askes his teacher to put flowers on his grave. this was a sad story
